PlugCosts produces estimates, not bills. Calculations multiply the wattage and usage you enter by average residential electricity prices published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Those averages include delivery charges and taxes but are not your utility's tariff, and they hide tiered pricing, time-of-use plans, fixed monthly fees, and seasonal rate changes. Your actual bill will differ.

Nothing on this site is financial, engineering, or electrical advice. Sizing circuits, choosing HVAC equipment, or planning an electrical upgrade should be done with a licensed professional. Wattage presets are typical values for common products — always check your own equipment's nameplate.
